Forging is the only process which creates homogeneous and dense fiber flow structure and preserves the grain flow of the metal.

Closed die forging / maxi presses forging
The closed die forging process applies to circular and/or symmetrical parts and enables to produce parts with tight tolerances, up to 1mm from final sides. This method leads to a saving of material from 10 up to 50% depending on the shape of the parts and reduces also the production costs of machining.
Iton forging parts are produced without any loss of material, any burr or any die split. The tolerances on diameters are very tights : +/- 0,25mm for external diameters and 0,50 mm for internal diameters.
Furthermore the use of forging preserves the grain flow of the material and increases the technical qualities of parts. For many parts with a diameter bigger than 75mm, machining from preliminary model of forged parts is more economical than turning from bars.
